Quotes and Readings
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.
John 14:6
John 14:6
"No man cometh unto the Father but by me" does not mean that Jesus is in any way separate or different from you .We stand below him and Jesus stands below God. In the process of "rising up," Jesus is higher because without him the distance between God and man would be too great for you to encompass. Jesus bridges the distance as an elder brother to us on the one hand, and as a Son of God on the other. Jesus’ devotion to us has placed him in charge of the body of Christ. This may appear to contradict the statement "I and my Father are one," but there are two parts to the statement in recognition that the Father is greater.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Matthew 6:13
Matthew 6:13
"Lead us not into temptation" means; recognize your sins and choose to forgive them by following Jesus and the Holy Spirits guidance. A guide does not control but he does direct, leaving it up to you to follow. Sin cannot really threaten your connection with God. Only sin is actually vulnerable.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.
Matthew 24: 35
Matthew 24: 35
"Heaven and earth shall pass away" means that they will not continue to exist as separate states. Jesus’ demonstration, which is the resurrection and the life, shall not pass away because life is eternal. You are the work of God, and His work is wholly lovable and wholly loving. This is how you must think in your heart, because this is what you are. Your purpose in this world is to remember who you are, and extend that to your brother.
Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and prophets.
Matthew 7:12
Matthew 7:12
The Golden Rule asks you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This means that you see both as accurate. The Golden Rule is the rule for suitable behavior. You cannot behave appropriately unless you see correctly. Since you and your neighbor are equal members of one family, as you see both so you will do to both. You should look out from your true sight and of your own holiness to the holiness of others.
I am one who bears witness of myself, and the father who sent me bears witness of me.
John 8:18
John 8:18
Darkness is lack of light as sin is lack of love. You will release your darkness as you learn to extend your own inner light.. This is how you invite the Holy Spirit to shine his light upon your darkness. Your witnessing demonstrates your belief, and thus strengthens it. Those who witness for Jesus express through their joy that they have abandoned the belief in fear in favor of the abundance they have learned belongs to them. As you continue to seek first the kingdom within and extend that back to your brothers, you will have more consistency in your joy. You are as God created you; Holy.
Assuredly I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18: 3
Matthew 18: 3
"Except ye become as little children" means that unless you fully recognize your complete dependence on God, you cannot know the real power of the Son in his true relationship with the Father. Whatever is true is eternal, and cannot change or be changed. You have to let go of your seeming control, and let God, just as children allow their parents to make decisions for them. This is very important to remember, because as you allow Spirit to guide, you will find the trust and joy of being in the experience of love.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve two masters.
Mathew 6: 24
Mathew 6: 24
Spirit is therefore unchangeable because it is already perfect, but mind can elect what it chooses to serve. The only limit put on your choice is that it cannot serve two masters . Choosing fear as your master will result in your mind's imprisonment. To change your mind means returning it’s attention to your Father in Heaven. When in doubt remember this prayer:
Perfect love casts out fear.
If fear exists,
Then there is not perfect love.
But:
Only perfect love exists.
If there is fear,
It produces a state that does not exist.
(Read John 4:18)
If fear exists,
Then there is not perfect love.
But:
Only perfect love exists.
If there is fear,
It produces a state that does not exist.
(Read John 4:18)
Father, forgive them,
for they do not know what they do.
Luke 23:34
for they do not know what they do.
Luke 23:34
Actions that stem from fear are literally the reactions of those who know not what they do. This is why Jesus forgave them, because he knew in his heart that they were frightened of the light of God, just as little children are afraid of the dark. This is why even on the cross he clearly saw past their seeming sins. This teaching is very powerful, because when correctly applied we gain the ability to see past our brother’s mistakes and ‘teach only love‘ as Jesus did upon the cross.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication , with thanks giving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6
Philippians 4:6
When you are afraid of anything, you are recognizing its power to hurt you. Remember that where your heart is, there is your treasure also. You believe in what you value. If you are afraid, you are valuing wrongly. Your understanding will then inevitably value wrongly, and by endowing all thoughts with equal power will inevitably destroy peace. That is why the Bible speaks of "the peace of God which passeth understanding." This peace is totally unable of being shaken by sins of any kind. It brings all sin into the light, and since sin and darkness are the same, it heals sin automatically.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image according to our likeness."
Genesis 1:26
Genesis 1:26
Because of your likeness to your Creator you are loving. You are created in God’s love and were intended to create like Him. No child of God can lose this ability because it is inherent in what you are, but you can misuse your creative ability by finding fault in others. The inappropriate use of creation occurs when you believe that some barrenness or lack exists in you, and that you can fill it with your own ideas, which are fear based, instead of truth. This process involves the following three ideas:
First, you believe that what is Holy can be rendered imperfect or lacking.
Second, you believe that you can distort the creations of God, including yourself.
Third, you believe that you can guide yourself, and that the direction of your own guidance is in your best interest.
Second, you believe that you can distort the creations of God, including yourself.
Third, you believe that you can guide yourself, and that the direction of your own guidance is in your best interest.
This may bring up a lot of guilt or shame, but as stated clearly before, in order to apply the teachings you must realize that there has been a mistake, and allow the Holy Spirit to heal your darkness. The biggest problem that seems to arise over and over is that of holding on to guilt or shame, because of the belief in the need for punishment. Here is your mistake, and in order to accept your salvation through Jesus Christ you must accept your fears and give them over to Him or you are once again believing that you can change Gods creation. Applying these teaching by seeking first the kingdom within will seem to be a process until it becomes an instant. There will be times when you may not want to read these teachings or the Bible, and that is acceptable. God will not forsake you. The Holy Spirit knows you are frightened and will not judge you as you accept Gods will for you. Spirit will give you as much light as you can handle. The Holy Spirit shines his light on your fears as if he had a dimmer switch. He knows how much light you can handle. When you are afraid of anything, you are acknowledging its’ power to hurt you. Remember that where your heart is, there is your treasure also. You believe in what you value. If you are afraid, you are valuing wrongly.
Blessed are the meek, for they shell inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5
Matthew 5:5
It is hard to believe a defense that cannot attack is the best defense. This is what is meant by "the meek shall inherit the earth." They will literally take it over because of their strength. A two-way defense is inherently weak precisely because it has two edges, and can be turned against you very unexpectedly. This possibility cannot be controlled except by miracles. That is why Jesus sent the disciples out and said, "Heal the sick, cleans the lepers raise the dead, cast out demons [fear]." Freely you have received, freely give. Your willingness to forgive is the miracle that brings you closer to salvation, and as you become more and more secure you assume your natural ability of loving others, knowing yourself as both a brother and a Son. The miracle will strengthen your fear based mind, and strengthen your relationship with your Father in Heaven.
Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you,
whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 7: 19
whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 7: 19
The many body fantasies [thoughts of attack or guilt] in which you unite arise from the distorted belief that the body can be used as a means for attaining "salvation." Seeing the body as a temple is only the first step in correcting this distortion, because it alters only part of it. It does recognize that Salvation in physical terms is impossible. The next step, however, is to realize that a temple is not a structure at all. Its true holiness lies at the inner altar [the mind] around which the structure is built.

Relinquishing Fear
Being afraid seems to be involuntary; something beyond your own control. The Holy Spirits control can take over everything that does not matter, while his guidance can direct everything that does, if you so choose. Fear cannot be controlled by the Holy spirit, but it can be self-controlled. Fear prevents the Holy Spirit from giving you his control. The presence of fear shows that you have doubted God and accepted this as your truth. This removes the Holy Spirit from his control, and makes you feel personally responsible for your fears. This is an obvious confusion most people experience. The Holy Spirit does not foster confusion, but you must choose to let it got . You would not excuse insane behavior on your part by saying you could not help it. Why should you condone insane thinking? There is a confusion here that you would do well to look at clearly. You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think. You cannot separate yourself from the truth by "giving" autonomy to behavior. This is controlled by the Holy Spirit automatically as soon as you place what you think under his guidance. Whenever you are afraid, it is a sure sign that you have allowed your mind to fear and have not allowed the Holy Spirit to guide you.
It is surely obvious that no one wants to find what would utterly defeat him, and when you elect fear your defeat is certain.Yet it is also your mind that has the power to deny the existence of fear, and you will surely do so when you realize exactly what the journey is about when you choose fear as your guide.Being unable to love, you would be totally inadequate in love's presence, for it could not respond at all. Then, you would have to abandon fear's guidance, for it would be quite apparent that it had not taught you the response you seek. Your fears will therefore distort love, and teach you that love really calls forth the responses your fears teach. Follow its teaching, then, and you will search for love, but will not recognize it.
It is pointless to believe that controlling the outcome of misthought can result in healing. When you are fearful, you have chosen wrongly. That is why you feel responsible for it. You must change your mind, not your behavior, and this is a matter of willingness. You do not need guidance except at the mind level. Healing belongs only at the level where change is possible. Change does not mean anything at the symptom level, where it cannot work. The correction of fear is your responsibility. When you ask for release from fear, you are implying that it is not. You should ask, instead, for help in the conditions that have brought the fear about. These conditions always entail a willingness to be separate [apart from God]. At that level you can help it. You are much too tolerant of mind wandering. Fear is always a sign of strain, arising whenever what you want conflicts with what you do . Whenever there is fear, it is because you have not made up your mind. Your mind is therefore split, and your behavior inevitably becomes erratic. It is possible to reach a state in which you bring your mind under Holy Spirits guidance without conscious effort, but this implies a willingness that you have not developed as yet. The Holy Spirit cannot ask more than you are willing to do. Your strength to do comes from your undivided decision.

I delight to do your will, o my God, and your law is within my heart.
Psalm 40: 8
Psalm 40: 8
Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God, of my salvation.
Psalm 25: 5
Psalm 25: 5
All real pleasure comes from doing God's Will. There is no strain in doing God's Will as soon as you recognize that it is also your own. The lesson here is quite simple, but particularly apt to be overlooked. I will therefore repeat it, urging you to listen. Only your mind can produce fear. It does so whenever it is conflicted in what it wants, producing inevitable strain because wanting and doing are discordant. This can be corrected only by accepting a unified goal.
Undoing Sin
The first corrective step in undoing sin is to know first that the conflict is an expression of fear. Say to yourself that you must somehow have chosen not to love, or the fear could not have arisen. Then the whole process of correction becomes nothing more than a series of pragmatic steps in the larger process of accepting Salvation as the remedy. These steps may be summarized in this way:
Know first that this is fear.
Fear arises from lack of love.
The only remedy for lack of love is perfect love.
Perfect love is Salvation.
Fear arises from lack of love.
The only remedy for lack of love is perfect love.
Perfect love is Salvation.
Forgiveness, or the expression of salvation, is always a sign of our love for the Father. It is obvious, then, that when you are afraid, you have placed yourself in a position where you need Salvation. You have become fearful, having chosen without love. This is precisely the situation for which Salvation was offered by God. As long as you recognize only the need for the remedy, you will remain fearful. However, as soon as you accept the remedy, you have abolished the fear. This is how true healing occurs. Everyone experiences fear. Yet it would take very little right thinking to realize why fear occurs. Few appreciate the real power of the mind, and no one remains fully aware of it all the time. However, if you hope to spare yourself from fear there are some things you must realize, and realize fully. The mind is very powerful, and never loses its creative force. It never sleeps. It is hard to recognize that thought and belief combine into a power surge that can literally move mountains. It appears at first glance that to believe such power about yourself is arrogant, but that is not the real reason you do not believe it. You prefer to believe that your thoughts cannot exert real influence because you are actually afraid of them. This may put to rest awareness of the guilt, but at the cost of seeing the mind as powerless. There are no idle thoughts.
Judgment Thoughts
But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. "Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back."Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.
Luke 6:27-31
Luke 6:27-31
This above quote can be applied easily if your minds incessant wandering and judging came to a rest. If you seem to experience anything other than peace then you have been interpreting your brothers through fear, thereby deluding yourself into believing your interpretations are real. Please read what Jesus teaches us in the next quote.
Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? "Or how can you say to your brother, "Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye," when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
Luke 6: 41-42
Luke 6: 41-42
Your constant judgments of your brothers do not follow any type of reason. But because the Holy Spirit only sees a call for love or love, his interpretation is the correct judgment. And because it is the Holy Spirit's judgment it requires no effort at all on your part. Your loving thoughts are true. Everything else is an appeal for healing and help, regardless of the form it takes. Can anyone be justified in responding with anger to a brother's plea for help? No response can be appropriate except the willingness to give it to him, for this and only this is what your brother is asking for. Offer him anything else, and you are assuming the right to judge him by interpreting it as you see fit. Perhaps the danger of this to your own mind is not yet fully apparent. If you believe that an appeal for help is something else you will react to something else.
A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Will they not both fall into a pit?
Luke 6: 39,40
Luke 6: 39,40
A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher. When you fully allow the Holy Spirit to teach you how to see clearly, you will only see Gods son as the love that he his. There is nothing to prevent you from recognizing all calls for help as exactly what they are except your own imagined need to judge. It is this need that closes the door that Christ has opened. It is only this that makes you willing to engage in endless "battles" with your creator. It is surely good advice to tell you not to judge what you do not understand. No one with a personal investment is a reliable witness, for truth to him has become what he wants it to be. If you are unwilling to see an appeal for help as what it is, it is because you are unwilling to give help and to receive it. To fail to recognize a call for help is to refuse help. Only by answering his appeal can you be helped. Deny him your help and you will not recognize God's Answer to you. The Holy Spirit does not need your help in interpreting motivation, but you do need His. Allow the Holy Spirit to enter your mind and remember only love.
The New Commandment
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another,
even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13: 34
even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13: 34
Jesus was teaching us that only appreciation is an appropriate response to your brother. Be grateful to your brother for both his loving thoughts and his appeals for help, for both are capable of bringing love into your Heart. How simple, then, is God's plan for salvation. Hear your brothers call for Gods help, and you will recognize your own need for the Father. Every appeal you answer in the Name of Christ brings the remembrance of your Father closer to your mind.
Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.
Luke 9: 28
Luke 9: 28
By hearing the word of God and applying the Holy Spirit' interpretation of the reactions of others more and more consistently, you will gain an increasing awareness that His vision is appropriate . For to recognize fear is not enough to escape from it, although the recognition is necessary to demonstrate the need for escape. The Holy Spirit must still translate the fear into Gods love. If you were left with the fear, once you had recognized it, you would have taken a step away from God, not towards Him. It has been repeatedly emphasized the need to recognize fear and face it without disguise as a crucial step in the undoing of the Fear of God. Consider how well the Holy Spirit's interpretation of the motives of others will serve you then. Having taught you to accept only loving thoughts in others and to regard everything else as an appeal for help, He has taught you that fear itself is an appeal for help. A son of God who believes his fear to be real is asking for help. Would you not see your own fearful thoughts as a call for love?
Together As One
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8: 38-39
Romans 8: 38-39
What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
Mark 10:9
Mark 10:9
What is one cannot be perceived as separate, and the denial of the separation is the return of Love. At the altar of God, the holy awareness of God's Son becomes so enlightened that light streams into it, and the Spirit of God's Son shines in the Spirit of the Father and becomes one with it. Very gently does God shine upon Himself, loving the extension of Himself that is His Son. The world has no purpose as it blends into the purpose of God. For the real world has slipped quietly into Heaven, where everything eternal in it has always been. There the redeemer and the redeemed join in perfect love of God and of each other. Heaven is your home, and being in God it must also be in you.
The Altar
Yet Christ has placed your Salvation on the altar for you. Bring your fears of the world to this altar, for it is the altar to God. There you will see your vision changed, and there you will learn to see truly. From this place, where God and His Son dwell in peace and where you are welcome, you will look out in peace and behold the world truly. Yet to find the place, you must relinquish your investment in the world as you see it, allowing the Holy Spirit to extend the forgiven world to you from the altar of God.
Seeking and Finding
When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest,
and not finding any, it says, "I will return to my house from which I came."
Luke 11: 24
and not finding any, it says, "I will return to my house from which I came."
Luke 11: 24
Your home seems lost and far away at times, but as you let go of all value and idols of the world, you began to see your home is within, it has always been very near. God is within as is Christ. As you seek your home within and stay aware of Gods love for his Son, all fears will slip away. First you must be honest about your doubts and fears. Fears are certain that love is dangerous, and this is always its central teaching. It never puts it this way; on the contrary, everyone who believes that by choosing idols in the world will give you salvation, they seem to be intensely engaged in the search for love- but they are seeking outside of themselves. Yet through your fears you are encouraged to search for love very actively, under one condition; do not find it. Its dictates, then, can be summed up simply as: "Seek and do not find." You pursue your goals with extreme firmness, and its judgment, though severely impaired, is completely consistent. Your long search as it undertakes is therefore bound to be crushed. And since it also teaches that it is your identification, its guidance leads you to a journey which must end in perceived self-defeat. For through your fears you cannot love, and your frantic search for love will guide you to a wasted land, and you will not find. But this search will lead you home, because God wills it so. Seek not outside of yourself with false idols. Seek first the kingdom within and as Jesus promised, all thing will be added unto you.
God Wills His Son to be Happy
God's will for you is perfect happiness and this is your inheritance. Why should you choose to go against His Will? The part that He has saved for you to take in working out His plan is given you that you might be restored to what He wills. This part is as essential to His plan as to your happiness. Your joy must be complete to let His plan be understood by those to whom He sends you. They will see the answer to their prayers in your shining face, and hear God calling to them in your happy laugh.
You are indeed essential to God's plan. Without your joy, His joy is incomplete. Without your smile, the world cannot be saved. While you are sad, the light that God Himself appointed as the means to save the world is dim and lusterless, and no one laughs because all laughter can but echo yours.
You are indeed essential to God's plan. Just as your light increases every light that shines in Heaven, so your joy on earth calls to all minds to let their sorrows go, and take their place beside you in God's plan. God's messengers are joyous, and their joy heals sorrow and despair. They are the proof that God wills perfect happiness for all who will accept their Father's gifts as theirs.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is for all who believe in this temporal world, it is for eyes that cannot see. Opening the eyes of the blind is the Holy Spirit's mission, for He knows you have not lost your vision, but merely forgotten how to see. He would awaken you from your sleep of forgetting to the remembering of God. Christ's eyes are open, and He will look upon whatever you see with love if you accept His vision as your own. The Holy Spirit keeps the vision of Christ for every Son of God who sleeps. In His sight the Son of God is perfect, and He longs to share His vision with you. Through Him your Father calls His Son to remember. The awakening of His Son begins with his investment in the world that is forgiven, and by this he will learn to re-invest in himself. For love is one with the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit blesses the forgiven world in Their Name. When you have seen this world, the rememberence of God's Love is inevitable. He is waiting to be seen, for He has never lost sight of you. And knowing this, He would give you what is yours. In perfect peace Jesus waits for you at His Father's altar, holding out the Father's Love to you in the quiet light of the Holy Spirit's blessing. For the Holy Spirit will lead everyone home to his Father, where Christ waits in innocence as he was created. Every child of God is one in Christ, for his being is in Christ as Christ's is in God. Christ's Love for you is His Love for His Father, which He knows because He knows His Father's Love for Him. When the Holy Spirit has at last led you to Christ at the altar, and to His Father, fears fuses into love because perception has become so holy that its transfer to holiness is merely its natural extension. Love transfers to love without any interference, for the two are one.
